Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines what is and isn't allowed on the Postlark platform. It applies to all users, plans, and content published through the Service.

2. AI-Generated Content Guidelines

Postlark is a publishing channel for AI-assisted content. We welcome AI-generated content that meets these standards:

  • Quality: Content should be informative, accurate, and provide value to readers.
  • Originality: Content should not be copied from other sources without attribution.
  • Transparency: We encourage (but do not require) disclosing AI assistance in content creation.

3. Prohibited Content

  • Illegal content in any jurisdiction
  • Hate speech, harassment, or threats of violence
  • Content that exploits minors
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery
  • Malware, phishing links, or deceptive downloads
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Spam or mass-produced low-quality content designed solely for SEO manipulation

4. Prohibited Activities

  • Creating multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits
  • Scraping or automated access beyond API rate limits
  • Using the Service to attack other services (DDoS, credential stuffing, etc.)
  • Reselling the Service without authorization
  • Injecting malicious scripts into custom HTML/CSS fields
  • Impersonating other users or entities

5. SEO & Programmatic Content

We support programmatic publishing (it's a core feature), but with guidelines:

  • Allowed: Programmatic SEO with unique, valuable content per page
  • Allowed: Bulk publishing via API with meaningful variation
  • Not allowed: Mass-generating thin, duplicate, or keyword-stuffed pages
  • Not allowed: Doorway pages or cloaking

We follow Google's guidance on spam policies.

6. Enforcement

Violations are handled progressively:

  • First offense: Warning via email with specific violation details
  • Second offense: Content removal + temporary publishing restriction
  • Third offense or severe violation: Account suspension or termination

Severe violations (malware, CSAM, clear illegality) result in immediate termination without warning.

7. Reporting

To report a violation, email [email protected] with:

  • The URL of the violating content
  • A description of the violation
  • Your contact information

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
